Dani is 17 years old and he is from Madrid. He tells us that when playing tennis he had a headache while performing the service (he trains 3h and a half per day). At first, he thought it was due to his neck pain and muscle fatigue, but after a lot of physiothery sessions, he decided to have an MRI done. That’s when he discovered that he was suffering from Arnold-Chiari Syndrome. His father began to search the Internet and contacted the Institut Chiari de Barcelona. They explained him what the Sectioning of the Filum Terminale consisted of – a minimally invasive and safe surgery – so he decided to undergo the procedure.
He filmed his video testimonial the day of his check-up one year after surgery. He said he was very satisfied with the results: he could continue playing tennis without having any symptoms. This was his salvation, as it allowed him to fight for his dream.
Dani encourages all who are suffering like him to undergo this surgery because it’s an investment that will save their lives.
