Our Institute implemented all the necessary protocols and measures to guarantee safety to anyone entering our centre, reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and help patients organise at best the logistics of their trip to Barcelona.
The Institute Chiari & Siringomielia & Escoliosis de Barcelona will not be responsible if, due to new epidemiological circumstances beyond our control, the patient and accompanying person encounter logistics difficulties or contract Covid-19 or other prevalent infectious diseases during their trip to or from Barcelona.
3.1 ¿What health and organisational prevention measures are recommended for travelling to Barcelona?

- Make sure your credit or debit cards are operational during your stay in Spain, as this is the recommended payment method versus cash.
Your contact person at ICSEB will be available to help with information on the situation in Barcelona during your stay.

For patients who come to our centre for a visit, we recommend:
- Arrive to your appointment on time-
- Cancel your appointment and do not travel in case of presenting any Covid-19 related symptom, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, general malaise, etc.
At ICSEB:

- Disinfection of the consultation, waiting and meeting rooms and equipment is guaranteed after each medical visit, with frequent deep cleaning in all consultations as in remaining other areas of the centre.
- The supply of hand sanitiser is guaranteed on the premises, available to all.
- Surgical facemasks are provided to patients and their accompanying person.
- Check-up appointments can be carried out at a distance, by sending medical records and/or scheduling video calls – if and when it is possible depending on the case – to limit the number of in-person consultations.

- Regarding the appointments at the Hospital, our personnel will accompany and guide you through every step of your programme.
- Cancel your surgical programme and do not travel in case of presenting any Covid-19 related symptom, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, general malaise, etc.
ICSEB and Sanitas CIMA Hospital:
