Hi, my name is Christine. I am 36 years old. One year ago, I was operated with the Sectioning of Filum Terminale technique in extradural zone.

My symptoms started when I was 32 years old and were very severe. One day I woke up with strong headaches that oppressed my head and neuralgia throughout my body. The pain used to pass from one joint to another, shoulder, knee and arms. These pains were terrible and did not let me live peacefully for 3 years and after those 3 years is when my illness was discovered.

In France, this disease is only operated with the craniectomy technique, which I did not want them to apply to me, especially because the doctors there wait and do not practice this surgery until the patient is in a wheelchair and obviously I did not want to wait until this point. So I contacted the Institut Chiari de Barcelona and I was operated there. Since then, I am leading a new life. I have recovered my professional, social life as it was before I was 32 years old, normal.
