HISTORIA DEL AMG CENTRUM MEDYCZNE
From 1st of July 2013, the Centrum Medyczne AMG is acting as the general hospital in the city of Ryki, situated midway between the capital of Poland, Warsaw (90 km) and the capital of the province of Lublin (60 km). The regional hospital AMG Centrum Medyczne has a capacity of 64 beds and is continuing the tradition and the activity of the previous national hospital (ZOZ Ryki) and later autonomous hospital (SPZOZ Ryki), created there in 1957.
It has 4 units: internal medicine, gynaecology, general surgery and trauma. The four units see an average of 9,000 patients that are treated per year and nearly 1,050 operations are performed annually (operations, major surgeries and laparoscopy), including spine surgery (prof. Krzysztof Turowski). The pre- and post-surgical diagnosis and treatment is carried out in specialised consultations and diagnostic laboratories (endoscopy, ultrasound, echocardiography, spirometry, X-Ray, CT scan, etc.), which make up the integrated structure of the hospital that annually sees a total of nearly 25000 patients.
The hospital, thanks to the constant collaboration with doctors from various fields of medical specialization (cardiology, neurosurgery, neurology, endocrinology, traumatology, orthopaedics, urology, pneumology, surgical oncology), provides services beyond the four basic specialties mentioned in the first paragraph and meets the medical needs of the people the Ryki county, as well as other Polish cities and regions.
The services are performed thanks to the contract with social security (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia- NFZ), and if the services are not included in the social security contract with NFZ, in this case the patient bears the costs.
