Adriana Beltrán and her husband would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the significant improvement she’s experienced over the past two weeks following her surgery.
Before the procedure, the patient couldn’t move her arms, lacked strength, and even combing her hair had become impossible. Her leg mobility was also getting worse every day, and the pain was so intense that she had to take painkillers every four hours. In Argentina, she was diagnosed with myelin loss, but unfortunately, no effective treatment had been found.
However, a glimmer of hope appeared. Last year, her young daughter had undergone a filum terminale section, and the results were remarkable: a 97% improvement in her symptoms. Since the Filum Disease is hereditary, Adriana decided to send her MRIs to the Institut Chiari de Barcelona (ICSEB).
The day after surgery, she was already able to move her arms and hands. She felt so much better, almost as if a miracle had taken place in her life. She and her husband would like to thank Dr. Royo, Dr. Fiallos, Safaa, and Elena for the exceptional care they received. They also mentioned that their older daughter’s case is currently under review at ICSEB, and they have full confidence that this expert team will continue to guide them towards recovery.
Adriana hopes that her story reaches others suffering from similar symptoms, encouraging them to send their test results to the Chiari Institute, the only centre in the world that specialises in diagnosing this condition.
