ICSEB Research and Development Accreditation by ACIE

We are delighted to announce that once again this year, our center, Institut Chiari & Siringomielia & Escoliosis de Barcelona (ICSEB), has received accreditation for our Research and Development (R&D) activities. The accreditation certificate is valid from January 2022.

This achievement follows the publication of an article in BMC Neurology in 2020 titled “The Filum disease and the Neuro-Cranio-vertebral syndrome: definition, clinical picture, and imaging features.”

Currently, ICSEB’s general research project focuses on “Investigation of diseases in spine, brain, connective tissue and their relationship with the filum terminale”.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Dr. Royo and the entire R&D Department at ICSEB for their tireless dedication to researching and studying diseases and pathologies associated with Filum disease and Neuro-cranio-vertebral syndrome. Our Director has been actively involved in this field for 30 years, starting with the publication of his Doctoral Thesis on idiopathic Syringomyelia and its aetiology.
