Due to the occasion of the celebration Rare Disease Day 2012, we would like to thank everybody who dedicates time and effort to raise awareness regarding these diseases and encourage those who struggle with one or several of them on a daily basis.
At the same time we would like inform, that according to research carried out by the Institut Chiari & Siringomielia & Escoliosis de Barcelona, the diseases Arnold Chiari I Syndrome, idiopathic Syringomyelia, platybasia, basilar impression, odontoid process and angulation of the brainstem, classified as rare diseases, do all, together with idiopathic scoliosis, form part of the new neuro- craneo- vertebral syndrome, which in estimation could be the most frequent disease of humanity.
The fact of discovering this new concept as well as the treatment for the neuro- craneo- vertebral syndrome, supposes the beginning of the eradication of these rare diseases
