The FIlum disease and idiopathic scoliosis in adolescence

The approach at our Institut to Scoliosis is etiological in nature and from a neurological and neurosurgical point of view; and it is based on a deep understanding that supports the therapeutic relationship with the patient.

The misalignment of the vertebral column which is known as Idiopathic Scoliosis or Kyphosis is due to an abnormal traction of the Filum Terminale and is defined as The Filum Disease

The treatment that is applied is etiological in nature. It eliminates the cause of the disease with a minimally aggressive surgery.

As we work on making the Filum System^® health method widely know, our purpose is also to increasingly reach children and adolescents who are suffering from Scoliosis, accompany them with an effective treatment and prevent severe curvatures before they manifest themselves and it is too late.
