Reimbursement by the public and private health systems – ICSEB

Throughout Institut Chiari & Siringomielia & Escoliosis de Barcelona (ICSEB)’s history, several patient have obtained total or partial reimbursements from their respective public or private health care authorities:

 53 Italian patients have obtained partial or total reimbursement of medical expenses, the majority refunded by their country’s public health system, and others have received refunds from private insurance companies. This makes up 60% the ICSEB patients who have obtained reimbursement.

5 Spanish patients have obtained partial reimbursement of the medical expenses arisen at ICSEB, refunded by the Spanish public health service.

There are cases where this has obtained from the corresponding authorities, or through private insurance companies, in the following countries: France, United Kingdom, Portugal, Denmark, Belgium, Kazakhstan, USA, Costa Rica and Japan.

Regarding insurance companies that have reimbursed medical expenses made by their policyholders, they are: AXA, ALLIANZ, CIGNA (from the US) and Tokio Marine Nichido Life Ins. (Japanese)
