href=\"https:\/\/institutchiaribcn.com\/en\/author\/chiari\/\" rel=\"author\">ICSEB<\/a>\u00a0at 14 July, 2015<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Institut Chiari &amp; Siringomielia &amp; Escoliosis de Barcelona (ICSEB) is happy to announce that during the past month of May 2015, the Spanish Innovation Certification Agency (ACIE) and ENAC have certified our project \u201c<strong>Research, development and application of the diagnosis and treatment of the new Filum Disease<\/strong>\u201d as Research and Development (R&amp;D).<\/p>\n<p>This certification represents a sign of excellence that recognizes deservedly the efforts made by our professionals over the years, with the many research lines about the disease and the treatment that we pursue on a daily basis in our clinical activity.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the fact that developments in any medical area require research to build their growth and evolution on, the research and development activity is very necessary in biomedicine for the success of any strategy that proposes an improvement of the citizens\u2019 health and to increase the number of potential beneficiaries of such treatments.<\/p>\n<p>It is for this reason that the ICSEB is focussing heavily on integrating R&amp;D in its organization, with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of treatments and the knowledge of factors related to the treatment of the diseases associated with the filum terminale, and to so increment the success rates and minimize the risk of surgical procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The R&amp;D seal strengthens our mission, it re-asserts informing the public about the\u00a0<strong>Filum Disease<\/strong>\u00a0and gives credit to the health method\u00a0<strong><em>Filum System<\/em><sup>\u00ae<\/sup>.\u00a0<\/strong>The health method is employed to treat the disease and has closely been assessed technically and in every aspect of the overall clinical project by leading experts during this accreditation
